  1. Is there an alternative to this software that will allow me to connect to my security system's video the way that this software is doing?

  2. when conecting to the Dvr security I get
    Connect Failed !(2)
    Reason :(-3) no stream Timeout4

    any ideas on how to cure

  3. to: digital Viewing Uk... u try format ur HDD, then stop motion record, let it run as normal 24Hr record, once the HDD full only u set back to motion record... the connet fail issue shd solve... another reason maybe is the upload speed is too slow...

    to: Litus.. use IE netviewing... jz type ur IP or domain, install activeX...

  5. i hv done to try format HDD and run as normal recording, but still fail to connect the DVR by remote sofware(dxclient)....
    plz give another option can i use to solve this problem..thanks..

    I have installed version 2.7.1. The HDD is being detected. However, the button to list the DVR recording files remain disable. Cannot make any backup or playback from DVR to PC.

    The DVR is recording the file in MCG format & I want to convert that to AVI.
    How can I do that using DxClient Viewer 2.7.1.?
    Also is there any coverter available?

    Thanks for the app. I want a plugin for Mac's Browsers like Chrome,
    Safari or Firefox. Do you know any? I have problem with Windows
    7 too, the activeX isn't signed and the IE don't let me install it

  12. 1. I have had the same problems.
    2. You need to go into Internet Explorer and allow it to install unsigned ActiveX controls. This varies by which version of IE you are using, so Google it.
    3. You have an option of either running the EXE program to connect to the DVR, or running IE (not any other browser, ActiveX is required) and viewing it in the browser window.
    To do this, you must type in the working IP address of the DVR into IE, and then it should ask to install the .CAB file (which later versions of IE won't allow unless you tweak the security).
    5. I also got the error message about Connect Failed and Stream Timeout. Usually if I power down the DVR and back up (and close IE and relaunch) I have a good chance of it working again. This may happen if the DVR thinks it was talking to the IE and then you try to launch DXClient.exe.

  22. Program for Iphone is: ASee in the app store free.

    Program for Android is: Asee - Go to E-Market, search and install Apkinstaller. Once installed, open it and find ASee.apk and install that.

  25. I tried to install ASee on my iPhone to view my cameras, my dvr Is a zodiac and to watch from pc I use dx client.

    On the phone I set up address, port (80) and login information, but When i try the app do not connect.

    Can somebody help me?

  26. Thanks to @phil for mentioning ASee, which I tried on my Android. It said it was able to connect, but all I see is a black screen so I'm not sure what's up. Maybe I really _do_ need IE :-\... hopefully not; we'll see.

    Soon I'll (probably) set up Win XP within a VirtualBox VM, then use IE to try to access the video feed. We'll see what happens...

  28. I have the same problem as Steve Philips. Asee tells me it can "connect to server successfully" bit my Android screen remains blank! I have tied to stream to other Android applications but get a message "Failed to retrieve image from camera" Can anyone advise what I should attempt?

  33. I'm trying to reverse engineering a dvr that uses your .ocx. It's the te1005 cube, based on a vineyard chipset and a porting of gaisler uclinux snapgear. The stream seems to be H264 MP4 that comes from the HTTP port. I tried to retrieve the stream by

    ffplay -f h264 dvripaddress/dev/_vymp4

    but it's not working. Can you give me an hint on which is the location of the stream?

  35. DxClient NetViewer is a small program which will allow you to connect to a certain IP address.
    If you have a CCTV Digital Video Recorder (DVR) connected to the internet you can connect to it using this program. It will allow you to view the cameras from any computer as long as you have this program installed and have an internet connection.
